Post-Construction Cleaning Guide

Professional Final Cleaning for New Builds & Renovations

Important: Post-construction cleaning should be done after all construction work is complete, including carpet installation and final paint touch-ups. This is heavy-duty cleaning requiring professional equipment.

Phase 1: Rough Clean (After Construction)

Debris Removal

  • Remove all construction materials and debris
  • Sweep all floors thoroughly
  • Remove dust sheets and protective coverings
  • Dispose of all waste materials properly
  • Remove any protective film from floors or fixtures

Dust Removal

  • Dust all surfaces from top to bottom
  • Clean ceiling, beams, and high surfaces
  • Wipe down all walls
  • Dust window sills and frames
  • Clean all door frames and doors
  • Wipe baseboards thoroughly

Floor Cleaning

  • Vacuum all flooring areas (especially new carpet)
  • Sweep hard floors thoroughly
  • Remove adhesive residue from flooring
  • Clean grout lines if applicable

Phase 2: Fixture & Fitting Installation

Doors & Windows

  • Clean all windows (interior and exterior)
  • Remove window protection film
  • Clean window frames and sills
  • Clean all doors and handles
  • Remove protective stickers from door handles
  • Clean glass doors thoroughly

Light Fixtures

  • Clean all light fixtures and recessed lights
  • Remove protective covers and stickers
  • Clean light switches and outlet covers
  • Replace any faulty bulbs
  • Ensure all lights are functioning

Plumbing & HVAC

  • Clean and polish sinks and faucets
  • Remove protective coatings from fixtures
  • Clean HVAC vents and grilles
  • Replace HVAC filters
  • Test water temperature and function

Phase 3: Professional Deep Clean

Kitchen

  • Deep clean and sanitize all cabinets
  • Clean stovetop thoroughly
  • Clean inside oven
  • Clean range hood and filters
  • Clean refrigerator (inside and out)
  • Clean dishwasher
  • Scrub sink and install strainer
  • Mop and sanitize floor

Bathrooms

  • Deep clean bathtub and shower
  • Remove protective tape from fixtures
  • Sanitize toilet
  • Clean and polish sink and faucet
  • Clean all tiled areas and grout
  • Clean mirrors and towel racks
  • Mop and sanitize floor

Living Areas

  • Vacuum all carpet thoroughly
  • Spot clean carpet stains
  • Sweep and mop hard floors
  • Dust all shelves and surfaces
  • Wipe down all walls
  • Clean baseboards throughout
